Dress appropriately for the interview and err on the side of modesty, dressing for the industry. Personal grooming and appearance do make first impressions. Don’t forget to research the company and individual interviewing you. Check out the organization’s website and key staff on LinkedIn. Don’t falsify your cv or answer any questions untruthfully. Be honest about your experience and credentials. Treat everyone you encounter in the building with respect and courtesy; the custodians and assistants. Hiring managers ask others for their opinions too. Don’t give the impression you are only interested in salary or the close location; employers want to hire people genuinely interested in the company or the work. Plan to arrive 15 minutes early for the interview. Consider commuting time, parking, washroom time leading up to the interview.…
What is Methane? Methane (CH4) is a colourless, odourless and highly flammable gas. It is composed of carbon and hydrogen. Methane is a primary component of natural gas. Methane is also a greenhouse gas, which means its presence in the atmosphere affects the earth’s temperature and climate. Methane is the second most abundant anthropogenic—created by humans—GHG after carbon dioxide (CO2), accounting for about 20% of global emissions. Methane is more than 25 times as potent as carbon dioxide at trapping heat in the atmosphere. Where does methane come from? Agriculture is the predominant source, but it also results from leaks from natural gas systems and landfills and waste from homes and businesses. Livestock emissions—from manure and gastroenteric releases (toots, burps)—account for roughly 32% of human-caused methane emissions. Population growth, economic…
