Montenegro, meaning"Black Mountain", is a small country in Southeast Europe, located in the area known as the Balkans. Divna Veković was born in the village of Lužac at the end of the 19th century in 1886, the youngest of seven children. She finished elementary school in her hometown, at the Đurđevi stupovi monastery, after which she went to Skopje for further education. Divna received a scholarship to the Girls’ Institute in Cetinje, where she excelled and became a scholarship holder of King Nikola, financed by the Empress of Russia, which enabled her to continue her education in Amiens in France. She would go on to attend the Sorbonne in France. She graduated from dental school in 1917 in Paris. Once you get a library card from your local library (you may have to do this in person), use your credentials to access your library’s e-book collection. Many libraries use Libby, a cross-platform service that lets you borrow digital versions of millions of e-books and audiobooks and send them to your Kindle or Kobo e-book reader. BASKETBALL Go out for a game of pick-up ball at a school or public court near you. Most parks have a basketball hoop, and pick-up basketball can be a great way to connect with friends or make new ones. RUNNING Start with a jog around the neighbourhood and move to participating in a local 5k fundraiser. Running is a great sport as it only requires a good pair of running shoes. Run with a friend or a big dog. HIKING You can hike the same route every day, and see different things every day. Nature is free, and hiking is a known stress-reliever.
