I am sat writing this on a particularly warm day so it seems strange to be talking about colder weather. But such is the life of a magazine editor! In this issue, we’re welcoming in autumn with relish. I think it is a great season where nature has a golden and crisp beauty, and there are lots of opportunities to enjoy it and the stillness it can bring to the mind. But we’re also appreciating that colder weather often means a little extra care is needed for our dogs. We take a look at our dogs’ coat and how different types need different care (page eight). In the district of Perth and Kinross, you can find Loch Earn, a narrow body of water spanning 6.5 miles from east to west. The loch is the source of the River Earn which eventually joins the River Tay, Scotland’s longest river. There are several trails around Loch Earn which vary in difficulty.
