Derecktor shipyards, long known for its shipyards in Mamaroneck, New York, and Dania Beach, Florida, has signed a deal to renovate Florida’s Port of Fort Pierce into a refit facility for power and sailing yachts bigger than 200 feet. ¶ “We are limited to 900 tons; everybody else is similarly limited,” says John Koenig, Derecktor’s head of communications.
