Last year, South African Nkululeko Dlamini, aka The King of Squats, visited Kenya. The fitness trainer is known for his vigorous aerobics workouts, which can cause weak knee sockets to pop out… and (so I’m reliably informed), flat butts to pop up.
When Nkululeko came calling, even certified couch potatoes emptied their bank accounts to endure his intense sessions. This was due to a couple of reasons. Firstly, if you want to sell a fad to Kenyans, do your homework. In Nkululeko’s case, the exercises also gave ladies a BBL-esque shape. I guess it’s (ahem) ‘more pain, more posterior’.
