Hmm, that sounds like a fair description of the myriad motorcycles that bear the name ‘Shovel’, as in Shovelhead, as in Harley-Davidson Shovelhead, as in the engine built by the MoCo between 1966 and 1984 as a replacement for the earlier Panhead, and the forerunner to the 1984-on Evolution engine, doesn’t it? They, too, come in a variety of designs (choppers, bobbers, diggers, tourers, baggers, etc., etc.), and do indeed have both health and injury risks, but also significant health benefits when used correctly.
This particular Shovel, which, incidentally, qualifies as both a regular Shovel and a snow ’un, too, for reasons that’re readily apparent, belongs now to a gentleman by the name of Juha Rouhikoski, but belonged to its builder, Sami Risku, on the day it was photographed back…
