MOHAMED SAEED | Pietermaritzburg I REMEMBER Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu, affectionately known as the “Arch”, the anti-apartheid hero, the Nobel laureate, the moral conscience, religious cleric and social activist, for his clear moral and unbiased position on Palestine.
We must honour his legacy of speaking truth to power and his life by continuing the fight against apartheid Israel, the occupation of Palestine, against politicians who abused their power, poverty, unemployment, corruption, oppression, injustices, human rights abuses and immorality.
South Africans must strengthen and live by his famous phrase “rainbow nation”, a dream of Tutu’s to see South Africans of various cultural, racial, religious or ethnic groups co-exist in peace and unity.
My condolences to Mama Leah and the Tutu family on his passing.…
