The Ibizan Hound is a slim and agile sighthound with a fascinating story containing both Egyptian royalties and the Balearic Islands. Despite their Egyptian origins dating back to 4,000BC, the first known job of the Ibizan Hound was to hunt rabbits on the islands of Ibiza and Formentera. When Ruth John’s beloved dog, Yoshi, started limping one day in late January, she assumed a quick trip to the vets would be all that was needed to get him back on all four paws.
