Starting at Minehead in Somerset, the South West Coast Path runs along the coastline of North Devon, Cornwall, South Devon and Dorset, ending at Poole Harbour.
It is England’s longest waymarked footpath, running for 630 miles along some of the most spectacular coastline in the world.
The path also passes through a national nature reserve, heritage coasts, areas of outstanding natural beauty, and two world heritage sites.
Millions of people use short sections of the path every day. A fast walker can complete the whole length in about 30 days, but it’s very challenging, rising and falling a total of 115,000 feet, so it’s better to take it slowly and enjoy the amazing scenery.
Here are four fabulous walks you can experience with your dog.
