LONDON ANIMAL CHARITY GIFTED GENEROUS GRANT
Mayhew has been awarded a £145,480 grant by the Pets at Home Foundation to develop and extend its Animal Assisted Interventions (AAI) programme, TheraPaws.
This will enable the animal welfare charity to recruit a full-time coordinator to help build community partnerships, coordinate sessions, and recruit, train, and support volunteers to improve the physical and mental well-being of vulnerable people in London.
Thanks to the grant, it’s hoped visits to hospitals, mental health clinics, care homes, schools, and eating disorder clinics will be increased during 2023.
