Sarah Budby and Lucy Hardisty’s Springer Spaniel, Ruby, was four years old when they got Sprocker, Ham. Then, unexpectedly, Springer Spaniel Skye joined the family, and she and Ham are only a week apart in age.
“Ham was always planned,” said Sarah, from Skegness, Lincolnshire. “Then, I was approached by our agility trainer. Skye’s previous owner had two puppies from the same litter and was struggling mentally to cope with it — understandably. Initially, we were very unsure because we knew exactly what we were letting ourselves in for. However, I don’t think we knew just how hard it would be!”
