A nyone who laments the old style of America’s Cup racing will be able to revel this month in the spectacle of the America’s Cup J Class Regatta. Over 80 years after these designs first raced for the Cup as state-of-the-art machines, this is the largest fleet of Js ever to race against each other.
Among their number are the superb new Js, J8, Topaz, launched last year, and the newly launched J S1, Svea, which went into the water only this spring.
