Woolworths has partnered with Gift of the Givers to distribute food care packs to families in need and people in quarantine or isolation. The bags are put together in consultation with Woolworths’ dietician to ensure they’re filled with a balance of protein, fresh fruit and vegetables and other staples, as well as hygiene products to help curb the spread of COVID-19. Each bag contains essential non-perishable food items such as rice, flour, oil, peanut butter, UHT milk, tea bags, baked beans, sugar, tuna, and perishable fruit and veggies including potatoes, onions, butternut, sweet potatoes and naartjies.
