We have always known that dogs are multi-talented – from pulling sleds and hunting rabbits to keeping vermin levels low and mastering agility courses. We already know that certain diseases can be ‘sniffed out’ by trained dogs, including some cancers and Parkinson’s. Trials are going on to determine if dogs could be used in a similar manner to detect those suffering with COVID-19.
