To think that fourday cricket should be foregrounded for the summer holidays is fanciful. Kids won’t be flooding through the gates. At the heart of club cricket Since the inception of the National Club Championship in 1969, no county has provided more different finalists than Middlesex’s eight. By that metric, its club system is among the strongest in the country.
