Breastfeeding was one of the things that surprised Etta Watts-Russell the most about motherhood. Instead of being the easy, breezy natural thing she’d been led to believe it would be, the mum-of-four really struggled with it.
“I’d heard all the horror childbirth stories, but 13 years ago when I had my first baby, there was no discussion about the next stage. There was no preparation or education about breastfeeding, so when I had issues I thought it must be a me problem,” Etta, 43, tells WHO.
