This time, last year, British actor Olly Alexander was breaking hearts across the world thanks to his portrayal of gay teen Ritchie, who deals with the HIV/AIDS crisis in 1980s London, in the critically acclaimed Netflix series It’s a Sin. But Alexander, 31, has long had a side hustle as a musician.
His band Years & Years, then a trio, broke through in 2015 with that catchy earworm hit‘King’. Now Years & Years is a solo project for Alexander, who’s releasing a third album, Night Call. The record contains his dance floor banger‘A Second to Midnight’featuring our very own Kylie Minogue. “She’s an icon,”states Alexander.
