Towards the start of 2015, a chap by the name of Ian Cushway, the driving force behind the blog of parts stalwarts, VW Heritage, posted a brief article about something called a Tischer XL65 upon the website of the Sussex-based parts purveyor. The resulting fallout was somewhat unexpected, to say the least. Not only was there an overwhelming reaction of positivity and good vibes from the general public towards the carandclassic.co.uk advert, but the grand fromage at Heritage, Mr. David Ward, soon got in touch with Ian and said, “Oi, what are you doing making that public? Take it down immediately… I want it! I’m going to send someone to have a look.” The rest… is history.
