Getting our Bus, ‘Inga’ to France could have been such a simple affair. We could have taken the ferry to St. Malo, or Dieppe, and simply taken a couple of days down to Bergerac where the house is and left it there, but we don’t do simple, we only do complicated.
The plan evolved into more of an expedition than a holiday and it started with my boy, Charlie’s, football competition in Gothia, Sweden, where his junior team were playing in the Youth World Cup (50,000 perticipants, 7,000 matches in five days!).
We worked out that whilst Jane and Charlie were in Gothia together, Chloe, Scarlet and I could drive Inga to Sweden, meet them and then start the holiday, following which we would drive her to France, via Germany,…
