From 1945, the company of Bellmann & Co. (Belco), from Ansbach, Germany produced a wide range of metal, wooden and synthetic resin products. It is unknown whether Belco existed prior to WWII, but certainly after the war it produced pens, combs and simple household appliances, but also toys, initially using materials from its other product ranges, such as Bakelite, plastic and metal.
From the early 1950s onwards, however, the company’s product lines were almost exclusively plastic, up until its demise in 1975, and its toy products were largely marketed and sold by other firms.
