Caramel-Braised Apples with Apple-Brandy Sabayon Makes 4 servings 1 cup water½ cup Calvados2 cups granulated sugar4 tablespoons butter1 cup heavy whipping cream4 Granny Smith apples, cored and halved2½ cups Apple-Brandy Sabayon (recipe follows)Garnish: sliced toasted almonds, fresh mint 1.
