An incredible 56 years ago, Tom Jones was our cover star for his ITV variety showcase This Is Tom Jones, in which the evergreen singer’s big-name guests included Sammy Davis Jr, Shirley Bassey, Ella Fitzgerald and Dusty Springfield. Despite the crimes and illicit affairs that occur in the fictional Northern Irish town of Port Devine, the police drama still has a certain charm and innocence.
