Shirley Temple was Hollywood’s most famous child star. From 1934-1938, the youngster was the No 1 box-office draw and is credited with saving movie studio 20th Century Fox (then Fox Studio) from bankruptcy. Five decades later, TV Times interviewed Shirley about her new autobiography Child Star in her San Francisco home. Having made her first film at the age of three, Shirley retired from acting in 1950, aged 22. A LOVELY LADY Lady Caroline Waldegrave was such a lovely addition to the team on C4’s The Great Celebrity Bake Off. She was so knowledgeable, kind and supportive with the more nervous celebrities.
