As the centenary of the Gallipoli landings fast approaches, Deadline Gallipoli, the latest in a long line of ANZAC-themed programming, is just about to hit our screens. Days of our Lives’ Freddie Smith was sentenced on February 18 to two years of community control in Ashtabula County Common Pleas Court. He also had his driver’s license suspended for one year. It hasn’t taken long for Home and Away heartthrob Steve Peacocke to find his feet in Hollywood, with news that the former River Boy Darryl ‘Brax’ Braxton has landed a role in a new movie. Peacocke will star alongside comedian Tina Fey and another former Australian soap star, Margot Robbie of Neighbours fame, in a new film from Paramount Pictures. Craig McLachlan may be best known to Australian audiences for his roles on The Doctor Blake Mysteries and Neighbours , but the 49-year-old has recently turned his attentions to a new creative endeavour: writing his own musical. Seven has finally confirmed that Samuel Johnson will play Ian “Molly” Meldrum in its upcoming miniseries, Molly.
