Big flies, little resistance
This dyed straggly string - available in a vast range of plain and mixed colours - is wound to form bulky, yet wind-resistant bodies and hackles on big saltwater, pike, salmon and sea-trout flies.
Each fibre is 20mm long from core to tip, giving an overall width when wound of 40mm. Because the fibres are long, they pulse and collapse. Simply catch the core on to the hook shank and wind in touching turns. Try a few turns in place of a dubbing ball behind Intruder head hackles.
