For eight years now, we’ve held a giant moto party otherwise known as the TransWorld Motocross SLAM Festival—a three-day event comprised of the Industry Cup, the SLAM free ride day, and the final round of the TWMX Race Series Terra Firma Series. This year with the help of presenting sponsors Alta Motors and Monster Energy, we packed Milestone MX Park to record capacity and routed over 3,500 riders and fans through the gates. Antonio Cairoli’s career is one that should draw envy from any athlete. Since turning professional 14 years ago, the Sicilian racer has racked up nine titles in the FIM Motocross World Championship, the most recent coming in 2017, and has become the face of World Championship motocross. That Cairoli was able to retake the top spot in the sport after a two-year drought was nothing short of a breakthrough, as some were certain the new era of riders were to be the 32-year-old’s downfall. THE MODEL Courtney Riggs is a 25-year-old Rockstar Energy Model from California’s Bay Area, and she’s quite possibly the most fun model we’ve worked with. In her teens, Courtney accompanied a friend to a photo shoot and was intrigued by the possibility of modeling herself. You’d have to be mental to decline an invitation to test ride any factory bike. When we got the chance to swing a leg over Zach Osborne’s Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvarna FC 250 only a few days after the Ironman National, you can bet we were there with bells on. As is standard protocol when riding a factory bike, you ride it just as the rider does. There is no setting the sag, moving the bars, or adjusting the levers.
