WILD BOAR FELL, Yorkshire Dales A splendid mountain, and both one of the Yorkshire Dales’ (although its actually in the county of Cumbria) best and its most overlooked. At 708m it towers over the Mallerstang valley, with the bulk of the Pennines to its east, and the Howgills to its west.
WILDBOARCLOUGH, Peak District This village is situated alongside Clough Brook in the south-west Peak District where, legend has it, the last wild boar in England was killed. It has a smattering of homes, a church, a phone box, a post box, a pub, and sits directly below Shutlingsloe hill.
