The Scafell massif

Highest point: Scafell Pike, 977m
Not an obvious ridge, but a wonderful traverse across England’s highest mountains. Start from Wasdale and traverse south-west to north-east from Scafell (taking care to avoid Broad Stand), then either descend to Wasdale via Sty Head from Esk Hause, or continue the adventure over Allen Crags and Glaramara into Borrowdale.
