The Neverest Girls – Everest/Never Rest, geddit?– are a group of eight passionate female runners based in Chamonix, France, who’re aiming to raise €10,000 for charity by running 10,000km in 2017. They’ve previously run the Everest Marathon, in extreme conditions that lead to an emergency evacuation of Everest base camp, and the 120-mile multistage TransRockies Run; “just shy of a marathon a day for six days through forests, over mountains, across rivers, dodging bears” Neverest Girl Nikki Barnard tells TR. Both challenges raised thousands for charities. But for 2017 they’ve upped the ante.
