AFTER SETTING OFF IN JUNE THIS year and rowing unsupported for 2,000 miles around the entire coast of Great Britain, battling torrential rain, strong winds, lightning and thunder, Team Ithaca arrived back at Tower Bridge, London, 44 days, 20 hours and 19 minutes after they set off, setting a new Guinness World Record for the fastest female team to complete the GB Row Challenge. In addition, the crew also raised money for cancer charity CanRehab Trust, and collected data on microplastics, temperature, noise pollution and biodiversity, which will be analysed by scientists at the University of Portsmouth.
