“For whatever reason, it was one of those days when everything seemed so easy. The course was playing fast and short, yet it was receptive. At No.1, the pin was on the front left and I was at the back with a long putt for birdie. That’s always a fast putt anyway, but I remember thinking that green looked especially fast. From 50 feet away, I judged it perfectly, to six inches, and I was away.
