Sun-drenched Montenegro
Sandwiched between Croatia, Albania and Serbia, Montenegro is “one of the best sun magnets in southern Europe” – and it takes less than three hours to fly there from Gatwick, says Nick Redman in the Daily Mail. In the north of the country, “mountains plummet to fjord-like jade inlets suggestive of New Zealand or Norway”, while the south’s “broad, blonde sands are reminiscent of Turkey”.
