Film tragedy: Prosecutors have not ruled out bringing criminal charges in relation to last week’s fatal accident on a film set in New Mexico. In circumstances that have yet to be formally established, Alec Baldwin, the star of Rust, discharged a gun while practising a cross draw during a rehearsal for the western. Although he had been told that the gun was “cold”, or safe, it was loaded with live rounds. The film’s Ukraine-born cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins (left), was struck by a bullet and killed, and its director, Joel Souza, was injured.
