From 1 to 4 August, the Festival of Sport is back. The weekend gives children the chance to try out different sports while being coached by some of the very best in the business.
Austin Healey, the former England rugby player who co-founded the festival, tells The Week Junior that it’s a relaxed weekend where fun comes first. “It really is just an opportunity for you to come as a family and experience great sports and be active and healthy,” he says.
There will be plenty of sports and activities to take part in at the festival, including archery, athletics, climbing, gymnastics, hockey, judo, kayaking, netball and trampolining.
