The US government’s space agency, NASA, stopped the launch of its Moon rocket, Artemis 1, just 40 minutes before it was due to take off on 29 August. The launch, at the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida, in the south-eastern US, was delayed because of a problem with one of the spacecraft’s engines.
Around 250,000 people, including US Vice President Kamala Harris, went to Florida to watch the launch. Engineers are working on fixing the problem and NASA hopes to launch Artemis 1 on 3 September.
