Zoo denies giving lion haircut
A lion at Guangzhou Zoo, in China, has been causing controversy after people noticed that the animal appears to have a fringe. Many have accused the zoo’s owners of giving the lion a haircut and ruining his natural look. The zoo, however, has said that the hot weather is responsible for his makeover, and that the lion’s mane is “brushed by the wind, not by a human”. Zoo officials said, “There is no hairdressing programme at the zoo,” and that the lion, named Hang, “has designed the hairstyle himself.”
