RAISING MONEY FOR COMIC RELIEF
BBC Radio 1 presenter Jordan North has rowed 100 miles along canals from London to Burnley, in Lancashire, England. The gruelling fundraiser took place over five days for Comic Relief. North raised more than £700,000. Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day takes place on 18 March.
SEEING A SPECTACULAR BIRD OF PREY
Thousands of bird enthusiasts have been flocking to Texas, in the US, to see a bat falcon, which has been spotted in the country for the first time. Normally the bird of prey is only seen in Mexico and Central and South America. Birdwatcher Jeffrey Gordon, who travelled to see the falcon, said, “It’s spectacular.”
