Christmas is coming, and Windsor Great Park is aglow for the festive season. A light show is illuminating the historic park and grounds of Windsor Castle, including its ancient woodlands.
The park itself in Windsor, England, dates back nearly 1,000 years to the 11th century. In 1066, William the Conqueror invaded England and built a castle there. The outer walls of Windsor Castle, where the Queen still lives some of the time, were built during William’s reign, and some of the oak trees in the grounds were planted at that time.
