Largest electric aircraft takes flight
On 28 May, the world’s largest all-electric plane made its first successful flight. It took off from Moses Lake, Washington, in the US, and flew for about 30 minutes before safely landing. The plane can seat nine people and is better for the environment than other planes because it does not release harmful emissions. This is because it uses power from electric batteries, rather than burning fuel like most other aircraft.
