Although some people just enjoy taking photos of their meals, David Loftus does it for a living. The photographer, who regularly takes pictures for Jamie Oliver’s cookbooks, is expert at capturing images of delicious food.
His interest in photography started at a young age when, with his identical twin brother, John, he would spend hours with a camera. As he grew up, Loftus decided to pursue a career in design instead of photography. Tragically, his brother died at the age of 25, which sparked a change of heart for Loftus. He tells The Week Junior, “I decided that I would change my career, almost overnight, from illustrator to photographer, transforming my hobby into a career.”
