For 45 years, young readers have been entertained by the adventures of Mildred Hubble – the well-meaning but clumsy student who stars in the popular The Worst Witch series. Hubble and her friends go to Miss Cackle’s Academy for Witches, where they always seem to be getting into trouble. The author of the books, Jill Murphy, spoke to The Week Junior ahead of a new stage show based on the stories opening in London.
