Saracens seal Euro prize
London-based rugby union team Saracens won the Champions Cup on 11 May. They beat Leinster, based in Dublin, Ireland, 20-10 in the final in Newcastle. The Champions Cup is the biggest club prize in European rugby union. Saracens have won it for the third time in the past four years, and are also the current champions of the Premiership – the top league in England.
● Saracens are the only English team to have won the Champions Cup three times. Wasps, Leicester, Northampton and Bath have also won it.
● The winners receive the Star Cup, which is 70 centimetres tall, weighs 13.5 kilograms, and has gold-plated handles.
