The European Championships is a new sports competition, held this year in Glasgow and Berlin from 2–12 August. Cycling, gymnastics, rowing, swimming, team golf and triathlon have been taking place around Glasgow. Athletics events like the 100-metre and 200-metre sprints, hurdles, 10,000-metres, shot put and heptathlon were hosted in Berlin, Germany. Countries competing in the championships include Croatia, France, Italy, The Netherlands and Poland.
