From 30 June, Bishop Auckland in County Durham will be home to Queen Boudicca, William the Conqueror and scenes from the First and Second World Wars, as Kynren returns for a third year.
Kynren is a spectacular live outdoor show that follows Arthur, the son of a mining family from the north of England, as he travels through 2,000 years of England’s history, myths and legends.
Performed on an area the size of five football pitches, the 1,000-strong cast and crew bring the past to life with stunts, horsemanship, fireworks and special effects – as well as geese, sheep and cows.
