For the past 10 years, the Beazley Design of the Year award has celebrated the best designs from around the world. The competition is fierce –previous winners include the Olympic Torch from the London 2012 games and the UK Government’s website.
Entries this year ranged from the best in digital design, including the augmented-reality app, Pokémon Go, to the most exciting fashion designs, including a line of clothes designed by Kanye West. Now, the winners have been declared.
The top prize, which was announced at a special ceremony at the Design Museum in London, went to an architect, Sir David Adjaye, for his stunning building, The Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.
