On 14 November, huge army tanks were seen heading to Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, a country in Africa. By the following morning, access to the country’s parliament and government offices was blocked. Soldiers took control of the country’s state-run television, where it was announced that Zimbabwe’s 93-year-old president, Robert Mugabe, had been placed under arrest. It appeared as though massive change was unfolding in Zimbabwe. Sure enough, on 21 November, one week later, Mugabe resigned. His 37 years in power had finally come to an end.
