A remarkable reunion
When a cat was found missing in Derbyshire, the animal charity, the RSPCA, was keen to return it to its home as quickly as possible. There was one problem, however. The cat’s microchip said it was from Sweden, which meant that the charity was unable to trace its owner. The situation seemed hopeless, until the RSPCA turned to social media. The response was incredible, with Cookie’s picture being spread far and wide; even the Swedish Government offered to help. Finally, Cookie’s owner, who moved to England from Sweden with her cat in 2015, was tracked down, and the pair have been reunited – a year later.
