What is the G20?
The G20, also known as the Group of Twenty, is an international meeting that takes place every year. It is held between the leaders of some of the world’s most powerful countries including Australia, Brazil, China, India, Japan, Mexico, South Africa, Turkey, the UK and the US. There are exceptions: Spain is not a member, although it is always invited, and the 20th member is not actually a country, but the European Union. The European Union is a group, a bit like a club, of 28 European countries.
