Katie’s flock of rare-breed sheep graze on an organic farm in the Cotswolds. She and her husband farm with a regenerative philosophy, where they aim to encourage wildlife habitats and improve soil health as well as looking after the environment. CHOOSING colours can be one of the most exciting and satisfying parts of planning a knitting project, and at the same time one of the most challenging. In modern yarns there is an endless palette of colours to choose from, and it can be hard to decide which shades to use, how much contrast there should be and how many colours there can be in one project. Here we are taking a look in some basic principles of using colour in Fair Isle and stranded colourwork knitting.
