PRIVACY IS USUALLY a thorny issue but even more so with quadcopters. One organisation that can help us understand how UAVs are being used to aid geographical mapping is the UK’s Ordnance Survey – a British, governmentowned organisation that has been producing highly detailed maps for many centuries. Your drone is subject to enormous stresses. Each of its rotors is really trying to spin the entire machine and, although having four or more of them cancels that out, it strains the entire airframe. Drones have to be light too, so there are limits to how strong they can be, and if you want to keep your one working well, you need to know how to maintain it.
